Couponing 101- Lesson #1 Where to find coupons

Couponing 101
Couponing can seem very hard when you are first starting out.  Don't worry after a few weeks you will start to get the hang of things. Here are some tips from a not so veteran couponer.

Lesson #1- Where to find coupons.

When you start couponing your first step is to obtain the coupons. Once you know where to get them start collecting.  You might get some coupons this week that will match up with an awesome sale next week or next month.  If you have your coupons you could get that product for next to nothing.  This is why it is recommended to get more than one of each coupon.  Getting multiple items on sale so you don't have to buy more until the next sale.  So where do you get your coupons? with out further ado here are the top places to get coupons.

1. Coupon inserts
You can get these each week from your Sunday newspaper or you can go online and order from bulk dealers. the inserts and their code names are as follows:
        P&G- Procter and Gamble
        SS- Smart Source
        RP- Red Plum

2.  Printable coupons
There are loads of online printable coupon sources but here are my top places to look.
        Coupons.com
        Smartsource.com
        Facebook.com
Companies will also post coupon offers to their individual web pages

3.  Catalina print outs
Some stores offer promotions if you buy a number of a certain item you will receive x amount of dollars back for future purchases. These will usually print off after check out.

4.   Magazines
         All you Magazine
         Good House Keeping
         Women's Day
         Better Homes and Gardens
         Shape Magazine

5.   Tear pads/ blinkies
These are found in store usually by the product.

6.   Peelies
Found on the product make sure you peel them off before you check out and give them to the cashier.

7.   ecoupons
There are a number of places that offer these, check with the store to find out.
